HARLEY H. HALL BUILDING IN VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON
THE HANOI HILTON
Harley Hall Building Dedication
July 14, 2000
The Harley H. Hall Building stands at 10000 N.E. Seventh
Avenue in Vancouver, Washington, Harley's hometown.
The building includes a memorial atrium to honor Harley
Hall, his leadership, and dedication to his country.
The following photos were sent to us by David Heath,
whose hobby and historical interest in military aviation led
him to the story of Captain Harley Hall's life and sacrifice
for the country and mission he believed in. David also is
a model builder, and built a model of Harley's #1 Blue Angel
aircraft, which is now a part of the permanent display at the
HHH Building.
David Heath has been kind enough to caption the
photographs on this and the following pages. We certainly
thank him for sending us these photos (most taken by him)
and relating the story of the building dedication through
them.
This photo is of Harley Hall and the Roberts Boys, friends
of his family from Vancouver, Washington. The photo was
taken at Abbetsford, Canada. They had gone up for the
airshow and were inspired to wear their yellow jackets by
having seen the Blues yellow flight suits. -- DH
