I’m just a nameles silhouette; nobody knows my face,
Though many of you pray for me each day;
The man you said you won. t forget, in a dark and distant place.

I am the POW; I am the MIA.

I am a Navy pilot; I am a dead Marine;
I am the wounded grunt they couldn. t find.
But I’m living still, and I. m long dead,

and I. m somewhere in between,

 And I can. t believe that I was left behind.

They killed me in an ambush, and they captured me alive,
And I died when my Huey crashed and burned.
They over-ran my unit, but I managed to survive,
And they brought me North in chains when they returned.

They beat me and they whipped me, and they worked me .

til I dropped. To break my will, they made their best endeavor. When great despair had gripped me, still the torture never stopped, And they told me: . We can keep you here forever..

They told me that my parents died, that my kids were grown

and gone; And my wife lost hope, and married

my best friend. But there. s a prayer hold inside, that helps

MY EDITORIAL: "WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO HARLEY HALL???"

Additional evidence was forthcoming. During a "one time good deal" arranged by Defense Intelligence Agency, Mrs. Hall and another Vietnam widow gained access to their husband's declassified files. Hall's file was huge -- nearly a foot thick -- and contained much of what Mary Lou had seen before. Intercepted Vietnamese radio messages tracked Hall from battalion to battalion after his shootdown, and there was mention of "a big Blue Angel" being paraded in Hanoi. "Harley was well known because he'd led the Navy's flight demonstration team on an Asian tour in 1970 or 1971," Mrs. Hall explains.
Beyond the previous data, one document shocked Mary Lou Hall: A report that her husband had been interrogated by Soviet officials, presumably in Hanoi. No paper or pens were permitted in the secure reading room, but she memorized the document by date and origin, and then filed a request for its release. Eventually DIA replied that no such report could be found. The real conclusion I'am guessing that Moscow Agents the KGB came and took him to Moscow for further interrigation because of his most high military profile being the Captain of the Navy lue Angels and that would answer your question why the Viet Cong hung a sign around Harley's neck saying "i'am a Big Blue Angel" The NVA and VC obviously found ths information first and because of thhe importance of the Military information that could still be gathered at the time the North Vietnamese called Moscow to send the Russian KGB out from Moscow for further interrigation. Is my educated guess and was probably beaten to death and most likely has died in Russia and that's why the body was never found and the case was never solved.
